Merlyn Vandervort began his Restaurateur endeavors in 1999; when he first founded the World Famous; Horny Toad Entertainment Complex at the Lake of the Ozarks. His restaurant endeavors expanded to include another sports bar and a night club in the Horny Toad Complex, as well as a dueling piano bar on Business Hwy 54 in Lake Ozark. In 2010, Merlyn founded Rumors Steakhouse in Lee's Summit Missouri.

 Jeremiah�s Night Club, the hottest Night Club at the Lake of the Ozarks; was built in the two mid levels of the Horny Toad Entertainment complex, with three in door bars, and one outdoor patio bar, where club goers could watch the live outdoor entertainment overlooking the level below. The tri level dance floor with a state of the art sound and light system, created the perfect high energy club experience. |
 The lower level of the Horny Toad Complex is home to the Frisky Frog Sports Bar & Grill, providing a very casual atmosphere where boaters could come in and feel comfortable in their swim suits, grab a great burger or pizza, and take in a game of pool or Pac Man.
